Description:

Dr. Ryan Stone is a Mission Specialist on her first space shuttle mission aboard the Space Shuttle Explorer. She is accompanied by veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski, who is commanding his final expedition. Kowalski, who is wearing a thruster pack, flies around the space shuttle testing its operation. However, during their final spacewalk to service the Hubble Space Telescope, Mission Control in Houston warns the team that debris from a Russian missile strike on a defunct satellite has caused a chain reaction of destruction and that they must abort the mission. Shortly afterward, communications with Mission Control are lost, though Stone and Kowalski continue to transmit in hope that the ground crew can still hear them.

High-speed debris strikes the Explorer and detaches Stone from the shuttle, leaving her tumbling through space. Kowalski soon recovers Stone and the two use the thruster pack to make their way back to Explorer. They discover the shuttle has been damaged far beyond usability and the rest of the crew is dead. They use the thruster pack to make their way to the International Space Station (ISS), which is in orbit only about 100 km (60 mi) away. Kowalski estimates they have 90 minutes before the debris field completes an orbit and threatens them again.

En route to the ISS, the two discuss Stone's life back home and the death of her young daughter in a schoolyard accident. As they approach the slightly damaged ISS, they see that its crew has evacuated in one of the Soyuz modules and that the parachute from the other capsule has been accidentally deployed, rendering it useless for return to Earth. However, Kowalski suggests that the remaining Soyuz, designated TMA-14M, can still be used to travel to the nearby Chinese space station Tiangong to retrieve another module that can take them to Earth. Out of air and maneuvering power, the two try to grab onto the ISS as they fly by. At the last moment, Stone's leg becomes entangled in the Soyuz's parachute cords, but Kowalski realizes that his momentum will carry them both away; over Stone's protests, he detaches himself from the tether so that Stone might survive, and the tension in the cords pulls her back towards the ISS. As Kowalski floats away, he radios additional instructions and encouragement to Stone.

Stone enters the ISS via an airlock but must hastily make her way to the Soyuz to escape a fire. As she maneuvers the capsule away from the ISS, the tangled parachute tethers prevent Soyuz from separating from the station. She spacewalks to release the cables, succeeding just as the debris field completes its orbit and destroys the station. Stone aligns the Soyuz with Tiangong but discovers the craft's thrusters have no fuel. After a brief communication with a Greenlandic Inuit fisherman named Aningaaq on Earth's surface, presumably using a ham radio, Stone resigns herself to being stranded and begins decompression of the cabin in order to commit a painless suicide via hypoxia. As she begins to lose consciousness, Kowalski appears outside and enters the capsule. Berating her for giving up, he tells her to use the Soyuz's landing rockets to propel the capsule toward Tiangong. Stone realizes that Kowalski's return was a hallucination, but gains new motivation to live. She restores the flow of oxygen and uses the landing rockets to navigate toward Tiangong.

Unable to dock the Soyuz with the station, Stone ejects herself via explosive decompression and uses a fire extinguisher as a makeshift thruster to travel to Tiangong. Space debris has knocked the Chinese station from its trajectory, and it is rapidly deorbiting. Stone enters the Shenzhou capsule just as Tiangong starts to break up on the upper edge of the atmosphere. As the capsule re-enters the Earth's atmosphere, Stone hears Mission Control over the radio tracking the capsule. It lands in a lake, but an electrical fire inside the capsule forces Stone to evacuate immediately. Opening the capsule hatch allows water to rapidly fill the capsule, which sinks, forcing Stone to shed her spacesuit underwater and swim ashore. She takes her first shaky steps on land, in the full gravity of Earth, where she awaits rescue.

The film opens with adventurous and creative third grader Ramona Quimby (Joey King) playing on the monkey bars during recess with her best friend, Howie Kemp (Jason Spevack). Although Ramona has fun with Howie, her mood changes when she goes home and finds out disturbing news.

Mr. Quimby loses his job and the family is in severe debt. Ramona overhears her parents' conversation and decides that she is going to sell "delishus lemonade" in order to make money. Beatrice (Selena Gomez), Ramona's sister, sees Henry Huggins (Hutch Dano), the paper boy. She accidentally spits lemonade in his face because a fly lands in her glass. She then becomes angry at Ramona, saying that Ramona embarrassed her sister in front of Henry by spitting lemonade in his face and nicknaming her "Beezus," instead of Beatrice (because Ramona couldn't say Beatrice when she was a baby). After that mistake, she decides to have a $20 car wash but that backfires also.

After accidentally painting Hobart's car multiple colors, she retires. The next day, Mr. Quimby accidentally gives her a raw egg in her lunch, and after cracking the egg on her head, gets it in her hair. Mrs. Meacham tries to take the raw egg out of her hair, but most of it remains stuck in her hair. Instead of the photographer saying "Cheese," he says "Peas," causing Ramona to interrupt with a great big "Eww!," ruining her portrait. The next day in music class, Ramona throws up on the drums, causing her to be picked up by Robert. She then stays at home with Beezus. After trying to make dinner for her parents, the pan catches fire. Ramona interrupts Beezus on the phone with Henry, so Beezus yells at Ramona for always being a little pest and ruining her love life. Shocked, Ramona questions Beezus that she has a love life, but neither of them realize that Henry is still on the phone and has overheard their whole conversation. When Ramona goes to feed her cat, Picky-Picky, in the basement later that night, she sees him lying in his basket, dead. Ramona runs upstairs to tell Beezus to come to the basement. They then hold a private funeral in their backyard. In their prayers, they say that Picky-Picky will always be with them. The girls become closer and nicer to each other.

While touching up the garden, Ramona reluctantly helps and grabs the water hose. While doing this, she accidentally squirts Hobart, who is next door with his family in their backyard. Hobart, believing (Ramona and Beatrice's Aunt) Bea had purposely shot him with the water hose, retaliates by tossing a bucket of water on Bea, and a water fight ensues between both neighbors. During the water wars, Ramona whispers to Bea and the family retreats, only to sneak into their neighbor's backyard to set off the sprinklers. After their neighbors admit defeat, Robert tries to turn off the sprinklers, but breaks the shut off valve and the pipes of the sprinklers begin to burst, flooding the backyard. As the backyard fills with water, a shoebox in a ziploc bag pops up from underground. Immediately knowing the contents of the box, Hobart rushes to retrieve it. He calls out to Bea and shows her the keepsakes from the relationship they had as teenagers that he had stored inside the shoebox. Hobart pulls out a ring with a large, purple gem and gets down on one knee and proposes to Bea. She hesitantly accepts and they kiss passionately under the water still spewing from the sprinklers. Both families head into the neighbor's home to dry off, as the open house is occurring at Ramona's house. Furious that her aunt broke her promise not to get "reeled in," Ramona rushes to her house and seeks solace in the attic. The beams are unable to support her weight and break, leaving Ramona's legs dangling from the roof during the open house.

After the open house clears out, Dorothy tends to her scratched up knees and legs in the bathroom. Robert, tired of Ramona's antics, walks in and scolds her for not being mature enough. Feeling she's not wanted, Ramona goes to her room and begins packing to run away, declaring she's going to be gone "Forever." Dorothy tries to talk her out of it, but then devises a plan and helps her pack up a suitcase. Ramona, with her heavy suitcase in hand, heads out of the house with no one to stop her. As she is walking, she imagines traveling to far places, such as New York City, Paris, and Egypt. She finally comes to a bus stop and sits atop her suitcase. It shifts under her weight, so she opens it discovering a bowling ball and a book Robert would draw doodles of Ramona and her mischievous ways. As the bus pulls up, she hears Dorothy over a baby monitor inside the suitcase. The bus takes off without Ramona, revealing her family in their car searching for her. As the family is reunited, Dorothy tells her she purposely packed the bowling ball to make her suitcase heavy, so she could not have gone far.

As Aunt Bea and Hobart's wedding begins, Ramona and Beezus clasp hands as they head down the aisle as bridesmaids. During the ceremony, Howie fumbles his role as ringbearer by dropping the rings. Ramona quickly finds the rings so the ceremony can continue. Afterwards, during the reception, Beezus and Henry share a kiss and then dance. Robert comes across a better job as an art teacher at the elementary school. Ramona excitedly thanks Mrs. Meacham, telling her the family won't have to move after all, to which Mrs. Meacham sarcastically replies that she's looking forward to having Ramona for the rest of the year. Before Hobart and Aunt Bea leave for their honeymoon in Alaska, Ramona runs outside to Hobart's painted Range Rover to give a gift to her Aunt Beatrice: a locket with her school picture.

Description : Upside Down (French: Un monde à l'envers) is a 2012 French-Canadian romantic science fiction film written and directed by Juan Diego Solanas, starring Jim Sturgess and Kirsten Dunst.

PLOT

The film starts with Adam telling the story of his planet, unique from other planets as it is the only one that has dual gravity. Two planets exist next to another. The gravity of the planets have 3 rules:

1. All matter is pulled by the gravity of the world that it comes from, and not the other.
2. An object's weight can be offset by matter from the opposite world (inverse matter).
3. After some time in contact, matter in contact with inverse matter burns.

The two worlds are separated. While the upper world (Up) is rich and prosperous, the lower (Down) is poor. Up buys cheap oil from Down and sells electricity back to Down at higher prices. Going Up or having contact with anyone from Up is strictly forbidden and can be punishable by incarceration or the death penalty. The only connection linking the two worlds is through the company "TransWorld", housed in a majestic building structure.

Adam lives in an orphanage in Down, having lost his parents in an oil refinery explosion. The only living relative he has is his great-aunt, whom he visits every week. His great-aunt has a secret recipe for flying pancakes using pollen from pink bees which gather pollen from both worlds. The recipe has passed through generations and will be inherited by Adam.

As a child, Adam secretly climbs a mountain that gets very close to Up. There he meets Eden, a girl from Up. Years later in their teens, they are in a relationship. They meet on the mountains and Adam uses a rope to pull Eden towards Down, and they head to the woods for a stroll. They are later discovered, and while Adam frantically releases Eden back to her world, he gets shot and drops her. Helpless, he watches Eden lying motionless on the ground as blood oozes from her head. When he returns home, his aunt is arrested and her home destroyed.

Ten years later, Adam is now working on creating an anti-gravity product using his great-aunt's recipe. The recipe allows matter to feel both gravitational fields at once. Adam is developing it as a cosmetic product for face-lifts. Then he sees Eden on TV and learns she is alive and works at TransWorld. He finally works out his formula and gets hired by TransWorld to develop the face-lift cream. Adam's plan is to find Eden in TransWorld. In his office he meets Bob, a TransWorld employee from Up becomes his friend after he helps him obtain rare stamps from Down. Bob offers to help him contact Eden.

With the help of Bob, Adam meets Eden by putting Up-material in his clothes to disguise himself as a worker from Up, using Bob's name as his own. But Eden doesn't recognize him, suffering from amnesia from the accident as a teen. The Up-material in Adam's clothes starts to burn so he has to return to Down. Later on, Bob is fired but as he leaves, he secretly gives Adam his ID to help him exit the TransWorld building and into Up. Later, by calling Eden through Bob's phone, Adam manages to get a date.

Meanwhile, his cosmetic cream becomes of great importance to the company. While Adam is doing a presentation of the cream, Eden sees him, shocked that he is from Down and learns his real name. Adam runs to find her but Bob's ID, having been terminated, lands him in trouble. He escapes to Bob's house. He shows him that by mixing the matter from both gravity areas can make matter that resists both gravitational fields and tells him he didn't give TransWorld the secret ingredient of his compound, leaving the company unable to produce the product without him.

With Bob's help, he goes back to the restaurant where he met with Eden before and finds out she started to remember him. But the cops come and he has to run. When he returns to his planet, he goes to the mountain top where he met Eden. Eden comes to find him and they meet as they used to. But cops find them again and, as they fail to escape, Eden is arrested while Adam drops. TransWorld agrees to drop the charges against Eden if Adam gives them his formula and never contacts Eden again.

Now Adam has gone back to his old life, believing he will never see Eden again. Eden goes to Bob for help. Bob finds Adam and surprises him by showing he can stay Down without the help of the weight supplements; Bob has been able to use Adam's methods to create a way to negate the effect of gravity. Bob tells him he had the patent of his beauty cream before TransWorld and tells him he has a date.

The film ends with Eden becoming pregnant with twins. Adam tells of their act and how it has changed their worlds forever, the two worlds now equalized in wealth and status.

The film takes place over a 36-hour period at a large Wall Street investment bank and highlights the initial stages of the financial crisis of 2007–08. In focus are the actions taken by a group of employees during the subsequent financial collapse. The ensemble cast features Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Irons, Zachary Quinto, Simon Baker, Demi Moore, and Stanley Tucci in lead roles.
The film was a co-production between the motion picture studios of Before the Door Pictures, Benaroya Pictures, Washington Square Films, Margin Call Productions, Sakonnet Capital Partners, and Untitled Entertainment. Theatrically, it was commercially distributed by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions. Margin Call explores capitalism, greed and investment fraud.[5] Following its wide release in theaters, the film garnered award nominations for its production merits from the Detroit Film Critics Society, along with several separate nominations for its screenplay and direction from recognized award organizations, namely the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. The film score was orchestrated by musician Nathan Larson.
The film made its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 25, 2011 and opened in theaters nationwide in the United States on October 21, 2011 grossing $5,354,039 in domestic ticket receipts. It was screened at 199 theaters during its widest release in cinemas. It earned an additional $10,732,208 in business through international release to top out at a combined $16,086,247 in gross revenue. Taking into account its $3.5 million budget costs, the film was technically considered a minor box office success. Preceding its initial screening to the public, the film was generally met with positive critical reviews. With its initial foray into the home media marketplace; the widescreen DVD and Blu-ray editions of the film featuring video commentary, cast and crew selections, deleted scenes and special features among other highlights was released in the United States on December 20, 2011.

Peter Kasimsiman was once a submissive son to his parents. But losing his mother at a tender age, left him with an abusive father who only knew of tending to his carriage horse, Brown Beauty. Peter is eager to win the love and attention of his indifferent Tatay. But an unfortunate incident forces him to run away from home.

His horrible life starts to change its course when he meets the nurturing haciendera Helena who provides him shelter and unconditional affection he knew his father would never be able to give. Helena teaches Peter love and kindness, grooming him as the sole heir to the hacienda in the event of her death. Albeit fueled with the guidance of the good-natured foster mother, who’s known for her passionate concern for her employees, Peter has an intolerable bad temper especially towards her mother’s loyal servant, Maita and the latter’s beautiful and gifted daughter, Samantha. Peter’s almost perfect life is threatened as people from the hacienda adore the beauty and goodwill of Samantha. These include the estate’s striking horse trainer, Erickson, the good-looking veterinarian, Dickson and even the trusted estate horse, Sylvester. Add the unwanted presence of his long-lost sister, Peter’s life seemed like an everyday living hell.

Little did Peter know that Diobayo, the Goddess of Horses, watches every move he makes as he grows oblivious to other people and the surrounding horses’ needs. To teach Peter a painful lesson, Diobayo cursed him transforming him into the horse, Petra, whenever he acts surly and proud.

Will Peter choose to continue his grumpy personality? Or will he be able to use his ‘horse instinct’ to change for the better?

Description : On Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras in New Orleans, ferry Sen. Alvin T. Stumpf is carrying hundreds of U.S. Navy sailors and their families from the Algiers dock to a celebration, when it explodes and sinks into the river, killing at least 543 on board. Special Agent Doug Carlin (Denzel Washington) from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is sent to investigate the explosion and discovers evidence that the attack was committed by a domestic terrorist. On arrival at the scene he hears the song "Don't Worry Baby" by the Beach Boys on the radio. After surveilling the wreckage he calls his vacationing partner, with whom he had been having disputes, and simultaneously hears a ring tone; the ringing is coming from a body bag nearby. Doug leaves a message then hangs up. He then meets with the investigating police officers and U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Paul Pryzwarra (Val Kilmer), and informs them of his findings. Back at his office, Doug learns about a charred body pulled from the river, that of a Claire Kuchever (Paula Patton). However, unlike the other bodies found in the river, this one was discovered to have been killed before the explosion. Claire appears to be in her early thirties, and has several fingers missing, (seemingly having been torn off), is wearing a floral red striped dress and half of her body is burned. At the station, a clerk gives him the number of a woman with a "sexy voice" that had called earlier asking for him, a number that he proceeded to write down on a gum wrapper. Doug returns the call, but is forced to also leave a message. Pryzwarra is impressed with Doug's detective expertise, and convinces him to join a newly formed government-funded detective unit whose first case is to investigate the explosion. With a team led by scientist Dr. Alexander Denny (Adam Goldberg), they investigate the events leading up to the explosion by using a new program called "Snow White", which enables them to look into the past (4 days, 6 hours, 3 minutes, 45 seconds, 14.5 nanoseconds) in detail. The system is limited in that they can only see past events once; there is no fast forwarding or rewinding, although they can record what they see. Convinced that Claire is a vital link to the case, Doug persuades the team to focus on her. While investigating Claire's past through "Snow White", the bomber calls her to try and purchase her car to use to blow up the ferry. Although he decides not to purchase her car, during the phone call the "Snow White" team is able to discover an exact time and place where they know the terrorist will be. Doug eventually discovers "Snow White" is actually a time window, and is also capable of sending inanimate objects into the past. Despite Denny's protests against tampering with the past, Doug has the team send a note back in time to inform his past self of the time and place to meet and stop the ferry bomber. The team sends the note back to the very last moment Doug and his partner Larry Minuti were arguing prior to his trip. To the team's dismay, past Doug leaves the room before seeing the note and Larry sees it first. Larry checks up on the lead and while confronting the terrorist is shot through his car door. The team attempt to follow the terrorist, who takes Minuti with him, but he goes out of range of "Snow White", Doug then follows him in the present time using a "Snow White" like helmet that increases the range. Doug follows the terrorist to his home, a large shack on the Louisiana riverfront, after regaining consciousness. Using face recognition technology, the ferry bomber is identified and taken into custody. He turns out to be a disillusioned man named Carroll Oerstadt (James Caviezel), who is angry at the U.S. government after being turned down for enlistment by the Marine Corps and Army, who believed he was overcommitted and psychologically unstable. Convinced that the case is now closed, the government shuts down the "Snow White" unit's investigation. Despite the killer being caught, Claire and the ferry victims remain dead, which is unsettling to Doug considering the "Snow White" team presents an opportunity to alter history. Doug convinces Denny to do one last unauthorized experiment: send Doug to the past to save Claire and stop the ferry bombing. The procedure is risky, as until then no human had been sent through, and doing so could mean death to the time traveler. Against all odds, he survives the trip, and travels in a stolen ambulance to Oerstadt's home, crashing into the side of the shack just as Oerstadt is about to remove Claire's fingers and burn her. He drives Oerstadt away after blowing up the house with gas and then escapes with Claire in Oerstadt's SUV and make a stop at Claire's apartment so Doug can tend to his wounds from a gunshot Oerstadt gave him. When they arrive he asks for specific items, mentioning clothes in her closet and belonged to an ex-boyfriend he thought he could wear. After she returns from getting changed, Doug notices she is wearing the red striped dress she was found dead in after the bombing, and suggests she wear something else. She pulls a gun on him, believing him to be a creeper, but after calling his agency to find his true identity, she drops the gun and willingly goes to help him. Unbeknownst to both of them, the clerk at ATF having taken her call, writes down her number on a gum wrapper, indicating that although her death may have been altered, the path to the bombing is playing out as precisely as before. Doug goes to the ferry dock and waits for the right moment to board the ferry and attempt to disarm the bomb. He asks Claire to stay behind and alert security of a possible threat, but after Oerstadt finds his own SUV parked outside, he runs back to the ferry, thinking that Claire is following him. While the US Navy band plays "When the Saints Go Marching In", Claire jumps onto the ferry hoping to warn Doug, who is searching for her vehicle. Oerstadt is killed after a brief stand-off between himself and Doug, who is also trying to save Claire, now gagged and bound at the wheel of her vehicle with the bomb in the back. To save everyone on the ferry, Doug and Claire drive the SUV with the bomb off the ferry into the water just before it explodes. Claire is able to escape, but Doug is unable to get out before the bomb explodes and dies in the underwater explosion. As Claire mourns Doug's death, she is approached by another Doug Carlin, the one from the present, who consoles her. As they drive off, the Beach Boys' song "Don't Worry Baby", which had played at the beginning of the film and at the end before they drive the car off the boat, plays again on the radio.
